There’s nothing like a bright shiny New Year to get things started on the right foot. That’s why we’re inviting our hard working, generous and talented volunteers to the first of our about-to-be regular BCFS Volunteer MeetUp on Saturday, January 24 right here at 2930 Bowen Road in Stevensville from 11am to 1pm. PLUS Farm Operation orientation 1pm – 3pm for those interested! RSVP to Judith via email >> firstname.lastname@example.org Here’s more on how we’ll say “thanks” for a great year, and give our BCFS crew a heads up on what’s news for 2015 … First and foremost we’ll give you a bellyfull of treats and bevvies, and as you’re snacking, we’ll give you a quick report on the amazing things the rescue group has accomplished this first year with your help.
New Space New Opportunities
Because our volunteers are so integral to our ability to save animals, we’ll give you the heads up on activities coming down the pike. That includes some pretty exciting stuff – from plans to take in rescued dogs from Mexico to building out facilities in our Wainfleet location. We respect the time our volunteers donate, and want to use it wisely. To make volunteering with BCFS more rewarding for our helpers, we have some ideas about creating a mutually supportive network. We’re looking for your feedback and participation. We have roles to fill in a variety of functions, from coordinating Foster Homes, Adoptions, Volunteers and Fundraising to Communications and Farm Operations. Come ready to sign on with the team that turns you on! RSVP by Thursday, January 22 – email Judith email@example.com
Bring Your Warm Work Boots
For those hardy souls interested in helping with the care of our resident animals especially during the harsh winter months, we will be providing instruction in Farm Operations following the inside party. Please dress for the weather; the session will run approximately 2 hours from 1pm to 3pm. New Volunteers are welcome to attend the entire day! **
New Volunteers Welcome
We welcome young volunteers too! Know that you must be 14 to volunteer without parental supervision. We are a registered charity and can sign off volunteer hours needed by high school students. ** If you are a volunteer new to Beaver Creek Farm Sanctuary, it would be great to receive your volunteer application and signed waiver by email in advance – you can find downloadable documents here, then send to Judith firstname.lastname@example.org Beaver Creek Farm Sanctuary 2930 Bowen Road, Stevensville ON L0S 1S0 Phone 905-382-2307 Volunteer Meetup 11am – 1pm Farm Operation 1pm – 3pm Look Forward To Seeing You Next Week! – Amy and Brent
