Maltese Poodle Puppy, Adorable Mauve is Ready for Adoption – ADOPTED! May 2015

You can add adorable Mauve to the list as one Maltese Poodle puppy itching to find her perfect furever home! This curious cute gal is just 4 months old, a wee 6-7 pounds, pure white and non-shedding too – what more could you ask for? Oh, perhaps the perfect people pleaser! Read more about her here!

Smart Cuddly Mauve Maltese Poodle Puppy

Having spent her young puppy life so far with more dogs than people, we thought Mauve may be a shy little wallflower at first. But as her foster mom gets to know her, turns out Mauve is quite the cuddler and loves to play too!

Her foster mom reports …

So far I can say that Mauve is a sweet, quiet friendly gal.  She is easy to pick up and loves to cuddle. She walks pretty good on the leash already. Loves to play, especially chasing her ball.

Mauve has one quarter poodle in her bloodline, which means she has smarts. She also has three quarters Maltese in her heritage, which means she’s all about loving her human companions. Maltese are bred to be cuddly companion dogs. They are extremely lively and playful, and even as a Maltese ages, their energy level and playful demeanor remain fairly constant.

She loves to be in the same room  you are in all the time; Mauve will follow you around too, so excited to be near you.

Her new furever family will be richly rewarded when they spend quality time with Mauve to bring her to her full potential. And being as young as she is means she is open and willing to learn.

She has used the pee pad during the night if she had to go.  She gobbles down her food like it was her last meal – LOL!  After she eats in the morning I take her out and she does her business pretty fast.  Same thing in the evening after her supper. 10 o’clock is the last time they go out and the past 2 nights she has not used pee pads in between. She seems to be good for about 4 hours at a stretch during the daytime. I still keep pee pads around just in case.

Maltese have no undercoat, and have little to no shedding if cared for properly. Like their relatives, the Poodles and Bichon Frisé, they are considered to be largely hypoallergenic and many people who are allergic to dogs may not be allergic to the Maltese or a Maltese Poodle mix like Mauve.

A puppy often involves time and dedication to training so BCFS will be prioritizing those applications that have the opportunity to provide reasonable training for Mauve, including her continued house training. Please note that families with children under 5 years of age may not be an appropriate match for this young toy breed dog.

Mauve is available for meet and greets at her foster home in Mississauga ON. She is up to date with her vaccines, has received standard puppy deworming, is microchipped and spayed.

  1. Little Miss Mauve is a little ball of perfection. I sent in my application and have my fingers crossed that this Angel will be joining our little happy family. What sweet faces they have.

  2. I love the wee Maltese poos and am wondering how much adoption would be. Also we are an older couple and always have had smaller pooches as we prefer to walk them, not have them walk us as a bigger dog would do.
On June 5/6 The Toronto Humane Society are holding a mass adoption drive at the Princess Elizabeth Bldg at the exhibition grounds in Toronto. All pets are $25.00 for adoption and $25.00 for licences (*). I was going to go and check out the dogs hoping to select a small little female. We have always had poodles and schitzupoos (*).
However if you can give me the cost of adopting from Beaver Creek Farms, I would appreciate this info.
    Thanking you in advance

  3. Thank you for your reply, Amy.
Is there a waitlist for future poodle crossed pups or young dogs?
If so please put me on it. I would be grateful if you did this.

    Thanking you in advance

    1. Hi Catherine. First step is submit an application if you have not done so already! We will be happy to add you to the list, but we need the application filled out to do so. Thank you!
