Leandra has entered the BCFS Foster Care Program from a mass breeding facility who did a “dump run” to the shelter.
Leandra’s a very sweet wee bean at only six pounds and about a year old who found her self locked in a cage at the shelter and she panicked.
The staff were horrified to find Leandra’s kennel smeared with blood from her paws from pacing and digging. She never gave up trying to escape and her plucky attitude is what will make her into a stellar forever home dog!
Leandra has finished her antibiotics and pain killers to help her paws heal. She’s been treated like a princess as she kicked up those sore paws in the soft warm comfort of her foster home.
Barb has taken on the role of healer and all around doggie caregiver for sweet Leandra until a loving forever home is found.
- Spayed and up to date on shots, microchipped and de-wormed.
- Paws healed
- 1 year old female merle chi
- Needs work for house training and leash walking
- Home with no small children
- A home with another small dog is very welcome
Foster Mom Update November 17, 2015 :
On the trip to the vet Leandra got an all OK. Leandra is starting to play with Folger (yorkie), they do a tug of war with some toys. She also knows what ‘no’ means.
Pictured below is Leandra cudding with sister Folger, a yorkie. I’m not sure what she got into cause the smear of orange on her forehead. Silly Puppies!
This little girl is very playful and very affectionate. Her pads are healed and she better get adopted soon or we’re going to have to keep her! Very sweet girl.
Have you got room in your heart for six pounds of wee puppy? She’s just over a year old and looking for her forever home!
