One of the saddest things in the world is when a senior dog is dumped at a shelter, so we’re especially happy for the sweet pug Barbara we brought into our foster care program.
Eleven-year-old Barbara’s become a foster graduate! Her foster family says they “fell in love with Barbara” while caring for her!
Who could resist such a sweet senior girl with big googly pug eyes and a tongue that hangs out from having so few teeth? Best of all, Barbara is super-cuddly and loves nothing more than to snuggle (OK, well, maybe food!)
Beautiful grey lady Barbara’s sweet face!
Barbara has lots of companionship, now, too: new parents Shaun and Debra have three children and a senior female sheepdog who is the same age as Barbara. She has the run of the house and a securely fenced-in yard to play in.
We’re beyond happy for Barbara. No dog deserves to be dumped in their golden years and we’re glad she came to us and found her forever home. A wonderful outcome for Barbara to be adopted by the people she’s come to know, trust and love.
