Brian and Elizabeth probably did not set out to do anything other than what they usually do – adopt a dog, save a life. But their extra-special take on dog adoption was just a little bit more special for the fact that they adopted Tia, one of our senior adoptable dogs here at Beaver Creek Farm Sanctuary, and during Adopt a Senior Month too! Could we ask for any more of a real world blessing?
No, we can not ask, but we can be as happy as a clam to know that not only is Tia adopted, but she is adopted to a furever family that has made it their business to give adult dogs in need the second chance they deserve.
Brian and Elizabeth have offered their home to any number of senior dogs and cats, much to the delight of the resident animals. “We know exactly what we are getting,” they say, referring to the benefits of adding adults to the existing pack. “And they are often initiated into the home routine by our pets, smoothly, naturally and with a minimum of fuss and drama.”
Exactly what the foster family most wished for, states Raye. “We believe Tia will do best in a laid back home whose owners exude calm energy, and that’s precisely what Elizabeth and Brian have to offer.”
Happy tails little Tia, we know you will be cherished and loved for all the wonderful things you are, including your wisdom and upbeat take on the world!
If you have room in your heart and home, do consider adopting a senior dog like Tia or Chichi, another Beaver Creek adoptable chihuahua – you will be rewarded in years of blissful cuddles and adoring gaze!
